Physiotherapy

The body functions through an inter-connected pressure system model. There are containers of pressure, organized around balloons filled with organs, fluid, and connective tissue. The cranium, and organs of the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic regions are separate, but communicative from a physics standpoint (forces of gravity, external loads, fascial positioning and viscoelastic properties), and also from a bio/electro - chemical standpoint (cellular, fascial and neuro-immuno-hormonal).
The muscles, bones and ligaments are the container for the organ and fluid contents, and themselves influenced by both neuronal input and the fluids and webbing suspending them. Both are subject to gravitational forces, biochemical rhythms (learned and inherent), as well as energetic influences (read upcoming blog post to understand what I mean by energetic). How the brain interprets and develops movement patterns starts from when you started your motor development journey, and is influenced by belief systems and injuries.

That means finding the old ankle injury that was compensated for resulting in the left hip pain currently being experienced, and streamlining the exercises for the hip to also include the ankle function.
Sometimes that means addressing - at whatever age - the effects that pregnancy had on the diaphragm that might be contributing to neck pain or incontinence now.
Sometimes it means talking about mindset and behavior changes that are affecting different systems, and finding more parasympathetic balance. So then when you get distracted from your exercise by a limiting belief, we find a phrase to implement or a strategy to make that happen.
Getting treatment on the container - stretching, isolated strengthening - can be really helpful! Getting treatment for organ - Supplements, medications - can be really helpful! But if they help only while you're taking them, then there is more depth the body wants integrated before moving beyond the symptom pattern.

Homeopathy
Student at Academy of Homeopathy Education
Homeopathy is a system of medicine based on the law of similars. This is an observation noted to be repeatable, in which a disease may be treated by a substance that produces similar symptoms in a healthy individual.
The example of arsenicum - a poison - causes diarrhea, vomitting, chills, fever and weakness. In the diluted and potentized dose however, when given to someone with those same symptoms (perhaps from a gastroenteritis infection, or actual food poisoning) those symptoms will dissipate.
This approach can be used for acute conditions, and chronic conditions for any related health concern.
This booking link takes you to my school where you can book an acute homeopathy consultation with me. Requests to work with me are not possible, but requesting a specific time that we discuss beforehand will get you to me.
